What makes Imperium yarn different from other hemp yarns?
It is a plied 40/2 hemp-lyocell blend spun for consistency, so the same yarn holds a high-compression bra and a lightweight base layer without changing supplier.
What is hemp-lyocell?
A blend of bast hemp fiber with lyocell, a closed-loop cellulosic. Hemp brings tenacity and breathability, lyocell brings wet strength and a softer hand.
How much does the yarn cost?
Pricing depends on count, volume, and finish. Send us your spec and we will quote against it.
Does it shed microplastics?
No. Both components are plant cellulose, so there is no plastic microfiber released in wash or wear.
Can it hold real compression?
Yes. Compression is set by knit structure, gauge, and elastane content, not by the base fiber. One 40/2 purchase covers bra-level hold through studio bottoms.
What certifications do you hold?
The yarn is graded against the HFGA US Hemp Textile Standard and screened against a restricted-substance list.
What are your minimum order quantities?
MOQs vary by count and color. Sampling quantities are available before you commit to a production run.

Does Supima Hemp Shed Microplastics?
No. Supima hemp is US-grown hemp with Supima cotton, so it has no polyester filament to shed. Plant-fiber lint in laundry is not plastic shedding.
Is Supima Hemp a Natural Alternative to Polyester?
Yes. Supima hemp is a natural alternative to polyester for sheets and towels: cellulose inputs, no plastic filament, and no polyester microplastic shed.
Supima Hemp Sheets Without Plastic Shedding
Supima hemp sheets are US-grown hemp and Supima cotton. With no polyester filament in the yarn, they do not bring plastic shedding to the bed.
